The wide choice of text-based AI tools means it is important to ask yourself first what the tool will be used for to choose the correct one. While the paid versions offer several advantages,  they are not cheap! My advice would be to test out the trial and the free versions first to get an idea of the effort and benefits before signing on. And keep in mind, each platform is in the end just a tool, they cannot replace human inputs such as emotion, empathy and original thought.

My favourite tools: I like working with ChatGPT when I want to optimise, structure or add to existing texts. Also, as I often write that way too often, it helps me to summarise and structure content better. Notion helps me combine writing with a structured filing system and I wouldn't want to do without it! With notion, I can collect and edit my thoughts, content and projects in one tool.
